1) What size is the room you?

Start by considering the area you want to heat up or cool down. This will narrow down which heat pumps are appropriate, and which are not. Small rooms need smaller heat pumps, while larger areas – like hallways leading into bedrooms or large open plan living spaces – need a bigger unit.
